The Horizons Unlimited Day Habilitation program is a 100% community integrated program that provides opportunities for participants to become a part of their community and form relationships with community members.
A wide variety of leisure, recreational, and volunteer activities are available to provide meaningful community inclusion experiences for those involved. Horizons Unlimited Day Habilitation participants also take part in other community activities such as water aerobics at the wellness center, visiting nature centers, going to the library, visiting art galleries, and attending community events. In the summer months you can find Day Hab participants outside playing softball, walking trails, and fishing. All Day Hab activities are planned according to participants’ likes and interests.
Horizons Unlimited's Day Habilitation program was founded in 2009. The current Day Habilitation Coordinator is Kristen Elbert.
